본 연구에서는 서울 지역 여성결혼이민자를 대상으로 우울수준 및 우울에 영향을 미치는 다양한 요인에 관해 알아보았다. 연구대상자는 한국남성과 6개월 이상 결혼생활을 지속하고 있는 중국, 베트남, 필리핀 등으로부터 온 여성결혼이민자 304명이었다. CES-D척도를 사용하여 연구대상자의 우울수준을 조사한 결과 한국에서 지역사회 일반집단을 대상으로 우울증상의 감별진단을 위한 절단점으로 제시된 21점을 기준으로 할 때 연구대상자의 26.9%가 우울집단에 속하는 것으로 나타났다. CES-D점수 21점을 기준으로 우울집단과 비우울집단 간 차이를 분석한 결과 우울집단은 비우울집단에 비해 문화적응 스트레스, 가족생활 스트레스, 가정폭력 경험이 유의미하게 더 높은 수준으로 나타났으며, 자아존중감, 가족관계, 그리고 사회적 지지가 유의미하게 더 낮은 수준으로 검증되었다. 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인은 스트레스-대처접근에 근거하여 인구사회학적 변인, 스트레스 변인, 그리고 자원변인으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 인구사회학적 변인에는 연령, 결혼기간, 학력수준, 자녀 및 직업유무가, 스트레스 변인에는 문화적응 스트레스, 가족생활 스트레스, 가정폭력 경험이, 그리고 자원변인에는 자아존중감, 가족관계, 사회적 지지, 한국어 능력이 포함되었다. 연구결과 위계적 다중회귀분석의 최종모델에서 우울에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 요인은 결혼기간, 문화적응 스트레스, 가족생활 스트레스, 가정폭력 경험, 자아존중감, 가족관계였으며, 우울의 50.4%를 설명하였다. 이들 변인 가운데 우울에 대한 영향력이 가장 큰 변인은 스트레스 관련 변인이었다. 이상의 연구결과에 기반하여 문화적 민감성을 바탕으로 한 지역사회 거주 여성결혼이민자 대상 정보건사회복지실천의 중요성과 구체적인 개입 방향에 관해 제언하였다.This study analyze the various factors influencing on depressive feelings among foreign wives through marriage migration. These wives are those who have maintained their marriage for longer than 6 months. Their native countries would be either China(including Korean Chinese), Vietnam, Philippines, or Mongolia, etc. The cases were 304. Date were collected through survey: depressiveness was screened through CES-D scale, stress was measured by Acculturative Stress Scale, Family Living Stress Scale, and family violence. Along with demographics, data for family relations, self-esteem, social support were collected. The depressiveness rate seems serious: 26.9% of these foreign zshowed depression based on the screening point of 21. The influencing factors were age, duration of marriage, education, children, occupation, acculturative stress, family living stress, family violence, self-esteem, family relations, social support, and proficiency of Korean language. Foreign wives in depressive group showed statistically significant higher score than those in non-depressive group in stress related factors, self-esteem, family relations, and social support. Similarly, hierarchical multiple regression results revealed statistically significant higher score than those in non-depressive group in stress, self-esteem, family relations. The explanatory power was 50.9%, and the most influencing factor was stress related variables such as acculturative stress and family living stress. Based on the results, the importance of mental health social work practice was emphasized and the specific intervention methods were suggested.
