This study has its aim at presenting directions according to which a cyber university can develop an on-line video course for credits in order to teach practical Korean to foreigners residing in Korean and abroad. For this purpose the researchers have looked into necessities and limitations of the research.
They then have analyzed circumstances for the classes and presented detailed contents of learning per class hour and set up a planning strategy for the contents of the video classes. The contents of the video courses is constructed as such that a foreign learner of the Korean language takes the play of the main hero. While traveling Korea, the hero personally experiences the Korean society and culture and, at the same time, learns the Korean language.
And then the realities of planning and developing video classes are shown. For this purpose, the Gagne’s instruction events are adapted and applied to fit an on-line learning and adult education, and to make up the flow of the classes. On the basis of these theoretical backgrounds, the structure of a full screen of a video class, a screen design and user interfaces, and ways of assessments are presented.
