Joso?n Government General's textbooks are frequently edited according to the transformational political and cultural contexts of colonial Korea. Among them, I focused on the translation and styles of 1920's New Edited Reader of Classical Chinese and Korean. Through its translational processes and diverse styles, the aspects of Joso?n Government General's language planning for colonial Korean are revealed. Unlike 1910's reader, positioning Korean as ancillary administrative medium or translational utility for documents in Classical Chinese and Japanese, 1920's new edited reader's Korean contains cultural and historic contents. However, Korean of 1920's reader is mainly guided by translation of Japanese texts. At 1930's reader, its Korean includes Korean writing by contemporary Korean writer at that time. Therefore, the transform of Joso?n Government General's textbooks reveals its transitional language planning.
