This study is to compare the practice fact and effects of Family Agreement of Farm Management of environmental oriented farmer couples with those of conventional farmer couples. Also, it was discussed the meaning of Family Agreement of Farm Management and the ways of supporting it. After analysing, devising management plans and sharing roles, were the items which the participants put into practice relatively well. The items such as sharing profit, labor conditions, and turning over management right in the future were considered to be relatively difficult to practice. The extent of how well the Agreement is being practiced by environmental oriented farmer couples was similar to that of conventional ones.
The result of the Agreement, not only has the sense of self-esteem in agriculture been boosted, but also the awareness of responsibilities and active participation in agriculture has been raised. It is shown that the Agreement has a positive affect on family relationship in the sense it helps farmer couples have a conversation with each other more often. Futhermore, the agreement also has impact on agriculture productivity improvement and adjusting labor conditions.
