This study is for discovering the aspects of which thinking about the subject changes in the poems of Oh-Kyouwon. The subject is the concept about self-consciousness come out as the result of the reason and rationalism that philosophy of enlightenment emphasized. But thinking about the subject showed at the poems of Oh-Kyouwon is critical. The trust about progress at modern industrial society resulted in harmful effects in our society. The poems of Oh-Kyouwon tried to dismiss thinking about the subject. His poems from 1980 to 1995 criticized our modern industrial society and reflected on the idealism of the subject. 『I want sometimes to attract public attentions』(1995) reveals the self-reflectivity. The self-reflectivity is a certain kind of characteris's tic reconsidering the controversial points that existing poetic mode has in the structure of poem and revealing self-identity critically. The genre of poetry has a characteristic transcending recognition and process which is used in the established poetry inside of a genre itself. The poems of Oh-Kyouwon seem to be struggling to overcome the limitations that a universal language has by doing experiments on the structure of poetry. In the history of Korean poetry, the characteristics which deconstruct a genre have not been so salient until 1980s, but the thing is that the existing discussions over the characteristics are based on the dichotomy that the political ideology is well brought out in the poems which Lee-Sungbok, Hwang-Jiwoo, and Park-Namchul wrote in 1980s and the indication of postmodernism in 1990s.
