This study analyzes health club members’ stress responding abilities, verifies the relationship between stress responding abilities and leisure satisfaction, and aims to provide basic data on improving the quality of life for potential daily sports participants who are interested in body building as a leisure activity, including the existing health club members. The sample was collected by surveying the 532 members at a health club in D Metropolitan city, using SPSS Windows 15.0 program for analysis. The following are the results of this study. First, men showed higher level of stress responding abilities than women in all sub-factors. Second, members from the age of 21 to 30 showed high abilities in problem solving, asking for support, mental easing, wishful thinking among stress responding abilities. Third, members who worked out at the health club 2-4 years showed higher stress responding abilities than other skilled members. Fourth, for the difference of stress responding abilities per weekly participating frequency, problem solving and wishful thinking showed the lowest solving ability among members who worked out at the health club over four times a week. Fifth, there were positive correlation between stress responding abilities and leisure satisfaction.
