The problems and improvement ideas of survey items, evaluation methods, and assignment of management type which appeared from the 2007-2011 field researches and assessments of uninhabited islands are the followings. First, uninhabited islands initiating territorial waters should be preserved as absolutely conservative. Secondly, it must be avoided that management grade is raised by the overlapped results of 1st law and 2nd field research valuations. Thirdly, islands which show fine biota on the basis of field research should be assigned a sub-conservation one. Fourthly, re-arrangement of evaluation items considering the environmental characteristics of island and sea is needed. Fifthly, overlapped and not effective items for the 3rd evaluation must be reduced. Lastly, regal and non-regal items must be evaluated altogether.
