The research aim was to compare how effectively reading contents are transmitted to students delivered through two different information media SNS and printed matter.
In all the four groups, those who had been assigned to read statements in the printed matter received a higher overall execution score compared to those who did so in SNS. With the advancements of science and continuous technological developments, it is undeniable that digital media have become increasingly common. However, the results of this paper suggest that reading execution of printed matter is more useful than SNS for knowledge and information acquisition, although the young “digitally native” generation is more accustomed to using mobile devices and the Internet that using printed matter.
