This study intends to make clear the characteristics of Kim Su-yeol’s 4‧3 poems who is a representative poet of 4‧3 literature. He has published 4‧3 poems from 1980’s until now that concerned Jeju 4‧3. First of all, his 4‧3 poems represent tragic situation in 4‧3 through utterances of it’s victim. Furthermore, carefully describe it’s influence to daily life of Jeju island and its people since 4‧3. The reason why he could represent these situations is that he understands 4‧3 going on. For him Jeju 4‧3 still remaining nameless world. Therefore the victims were embodied as survivals despite their physical death. And it means that their social death is not completed. So poetic speaker of his 4‧3 poems can listen of dead man’s voice and scream. Or dead man(victim) speak of his own mind by Jeju dialect. As a result, the voices of the dead and the living are confused, then the boundary between the world of the dead and the living were blurred in his 4‧3 poems. Though such chaos is the result of historical process of 4‧3, it is difficult to see as ordinary daily life. The reason why Kim Su-yeol’s 4‧3 poems search of poetic vision for the historical chaos is here. If this chaos continues, Jeju island and its people never escape the tragic situation. His poetic vision is summarized as Stnading White Stone. And it includes both the unification as macroscopic prospect and recovery of community vitality as microscopic prospect. His poetic vision can imply to us how to construct new world.
