Two Korean people who works in Japanese companies after graduated from universities in Korea were interviewed under 3 main issues; 1.the back ground until they got the job 2.their present situation of living and working in Japan 3.their career plan in order to know about Job huntting of Korean university students, which is becoming more and more diversified. By using “Life story research method”, we examine how a person’s experience way of thinking affect their career.
In Mr.J’s case, he found out that his gained lessons from his own failure has become his strength, and it provided him with emotional support while he continue Job hunting.
In Ms B’s case, the experience that help to improve myself is the turning point of her life. After their job hunting, they makes an effort to become a member of the society that they want to live in. Throught their life stories we suggest that Korean Universities should conduct job guidance and support for the students who desire to work in Japan.
1. Do self-analsys early. 2. Conduct Japanese classes which boost student’s self-confidence at their Japanese language ability. 3. Provide chances for students so that they can gain experience and improve themselves. 4. Provide orientation for students so that they can think about their future career and what kind of person they want to become as a member in the society before getting a job.本稿では、今後多様化するであろう韓国大学生の就職活動の在り方を知るため、韓国の大学を卒業し、日本で就職を果たした韓国人2名を対象に、日本での就職に至るまでの経緯と、現在の状況、これからのキャリアプランについてインタビューを実施した。インタビューはライフストーリー研究法を用い、彼らのキャリアに大きく影響を与えた経験や考えを考察した。インタビューの結果、Jさんは「自分の強み」を挫折の中から見出し、就職活動の支えにしていた。Bさんは、「自分を成長させる出会い」が大きな転機となっていることがわかった。
就職活動を経て、社会人になった2名は、理想の社会人像を確立し、目標に向かって努力していた。彼らの語りから、韓国の大学ができる就職指導・支援として①早い時期で自己分析をすること、②学生が自身の日本語に自信を持てるような授業を追求すること、③自分を成長させる出会いの場を提供すること、④どのような社会人になりたいかといった具体的なキャリアを就業前に考えることが考えられる。
