PET fiber-reinforced polypropylene (PP) films were successfully prepared using unidirectional fabrics with polyethylene terephthalate (PET)/PP sea-island fibers to improve the physical properties of the PP film. The PP part of the PET/PP sea-island fiber was converted to a film using a hot press, and the PET fiber part, which had a higher melting temperature than the PP part, reinforced the structure. The internal structure and physical properties of the films were evaluated using scanning electron microscopy, a tensile strength test, and a tearing strength test. It is shown that the physical properties of the PP film based on unidirectional fabrics are superior to those of the film based on air-laid nonwovens.
