This study is aimed at examining the biographical experiences of college students who suffered from complex trauma in childhood. In this study, four college students with complex trauma experiences participated in the narrative interview of Schütze. The interview results were collected according to the Step 4 of the narrative interview of Schütze, analyzed as process structures of life respectively, and reconstructed by means of the maximum and minimum comparative analysis of each cases. The results of reconstruction are as follows. First, based on the theme of ‘repetition between pain and endurance’, the experiences were derived into five categories: ‘complex trauma experienced at home, abuse named discipline’, ‘parents who can't control their anger’, ‘complex trauma experience at school adding pain to pain’, ‘children on the brink in the adult's neglect’ and ‘school record affects complex trauma’. Secondly, based on the theme of ‘grow up with pain’, the experiences were derived into five categories: ‘the memory is gone, but the pain remains’, ‘the people who raised me up in pain’, ‘come to a deep understanding of the person who resembles me’, and ‘the process of overcoming the experience of complex trauma and finding a new me’. In results, the significance of purpose and the implication of the results were discussed. In addition, counseling intervention plans and plans to prevent complex trauma for the college students who experienced complex trauma in their childhood and adolescent were suggested, and ideas for follow-up studies were provided.
