In Japan-South Korea relations, grassroots-level exchanges are often cut off due to political and diplomatic issues, and the project to follow in Lee’s footsteps has remained unchanged for 20 years. In this article, we have studied the reasons why this is possible and whether it is possible to continue to inherit Lee’s spirit.
Lee’s parents, who received condolences and condolences from the Japanese people after learning about Lee’s accident, have established a “bridge between Korea and Japan” and established an LSH Asian scholarship for 20 years. Moreover, it is clear that most fundamentally, they owe a great deal to their parents’ personalities and achievements.
Regarding whether it is possible to continue to inherit Lee’s spirit in the future, I think it is highly likely that Korean teenagers who participated in the International Exchange Fund’s Lee Soo-hyun Memorial Project、and the documentary film Kakehashi, will continue to do so.
