This study aims to find out the current status of Chinese consumers who used overseas direct purchases during the COVID-19 pandemic and identify the characteristics, customer satisfaction with international logistics services and determinants of repurchase intention. For this purpose, online questionnaire survey on Chinese consumers who have experience of overseas direct purchase was conducted using SPSS/AMOS 26.0. In addition, consumers who used overseas direct purchase are divided into two groups (before 2020 and after 2020) to reveal the differences between the groups in customer satisfaction to derive the factors which can affect customer satisfaction.
According to the survey results, the characteristics of overseas direct purchase websites(trust, ease of use) and international logistics(customs risk, speed, accuracy) have positive impact on customer satisfaction and repurchase intentions before COVID-19 pandemic, but now consumers are not satisfied with international logistics than before the COVID-19 pandemic. In the context of global pandemic, companies should make internal improvements in a timely manner in terms of site characterisitics and international logistics services. And the government should also make appropriate policy support to promote the development of global electronic trade. To face global pandemic, more research in this area is needed.
