Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the awareness of students with severe and multiple disabilities among teachers directing high school credit systems from the perspective of 'disability studies'. It aims to identify teachers' positive or negative awareness toward students with severe and multiple disabilities while developing and planning high school credit system and ideas that lie beneath those perspectives and utilize them for high school credit systems settlement in the future. Method: A Focus group interview about perceptions of students with severe and multiple disabilities was conducted with 10 teachers who managed high school credit systems in pilot schools for high school credit systems while working at general high schools that include students with severe and multiple disabilities. Results: The constant comparison method, which is one of the qualitative interview analysis techniques, was used to analyze interview results from the perspective of 'disability studies'. Perceptions of students with severe and multiple disabilities could be categorized into three large categories, nine medium categories, and 20 small categories. The content of three large categories were as follows; teachers had negative attitudes toward students with severe and multiple disabilities based on the medical diagnosis that students are impaired and unhealthy, students experienced studying loss and lacked opportunities for experience because disabilities became a barrier due to teachers only focusing on the cause of weakness, and teachers in charge tried to identify identity from the perspective of 'disability studies' where diversity is respected, and challenge authority and discrimination. Conclusion: A support system regarding 'disability studies' which can harmonize with general curriculum while developing and implementing a high school credit system was discussed.
