This study was conducted to identify the target responses to human rights violations and violence in universities and the personal, organizational, and situational factors affecting such response. As a result of analyzing 632 university undergraduates, in the case of women, the higher the political efficacy, the lower the authoritarian attitude, and the higher the number of victims, the higher the probability of seeking support from others rather than a no-response. In the case of belonging to the arts and sports field, it was found that the probability of seeking support from others was low, confirming that the internal culture of the major department may affect the response method. The higher the level of knowledge related to responding to human rights violations and the higher the number of victimization, and in the case the perpetrator is senior, the higher the probability of confronting and reporting rather than no-response, confirming that the severity of victimization and the influence of hierarchy were consistent. In addition, when there are many men among department professors, the probability of confronting and reporting was rather low, confirming that the culture formed by the gender ratio in the department could affect the response method. Through the results of this study, it is expected that it will contribute to protecting university students from human rights violations by publicizing the problems of violence and human rights violations in universities and enhancing the responsiveness of victims.
