The demand for vehicle motors is rapidly increasing as the driving parts of automobiles gradually become electric. In particular, the use of devices and drive systems for driver's convenience or safety are being electrified and replaced with drive motors in existing internal combustion engines, and the demand for them is also increasing. Bearings smoothen the rotation of the motor and play a role in keeping the air gap of the motor constant. Bearings are used when coupling the motor housing and shaft axis and are assembled by coupling with the rotor shaft. An induction heating device inside the bearing and a thermal expansion method were used to generate an eddy current loss. In this study, the eddy current loss of the induction heating device was generated, and the temperature rise of the bearing according to the magnitude of the applied current was reviewed through temperature analysis.
