Medical tourism is a concept of a convergence service that combines tourism and medical services, and for overseas tourists visiting Korea, it can be explained as a high-value-added tourism business with a long stay and high expenses. Revitalization of medical tourism will provide great significance throughout the tourism business, which has been dampened by COVID-19. In addition, the number of overseas tourists is expected to increase through medical tourism after COVID-19, which is expected to expand the utilization rate of the domestic medical market. This study was conducted to collect and analyze big data closely related to medical tourism on social media and to identify awareness of tourism consumers and present applicable implications in the future. Major social media collected 5,925 before the outbreak of COVID-19 and 7,895 after the outbreak of COVID-19, extracted the final 50, and compared and analyzed respectively. In addition, awareness of the revitalization of medical tourism after the outbreak of COVID-19 was also confirmed through each of the four clusters.
