The purpose of this study is to estimate the economic impact of the MICE industry based on the regional MICE promotion policies and to provide implications for MICE policies and developments. Since 2018, South Korea has been carrying out a vitalization policy by designating an Convention Integrated District, and among them, the current research focused on Gwangju Metropolitan City. In order to estimate the economic impact, an Inter-Regional Input-Output Model was applied, and the economic impact caused by the MICE industry in Gwangju Metropolitan City was estimated using published statistical data. Through the results, various implications for future development were presented.
