The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of motivation to participate in cooking competitions on major satisfaction, job confidence, major satisfaction, and the mediating effect of creative behavior. As a sample, 329 copies were used for the final analysis, and the collected data were statistically analyzed with SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0. As a result of the study, the relationship between social participation type and subject satisfaction was rejected, and the capacity-enhancing type and interest-seeking type had a positive (+) significant effect on subject satisfaction. The relationship between social participation type and perception satisfaction was rejected, and the capacity-enhancing type and interest-seeking type were found to have a positive (+) significant effect on perception satisfaction. It was found that subject satisfaction and perception satisfaction of major satisfaction had a positive (+) significant effect on job confidence. The mediating effect of major satisfaction was rejected by the relationship between social participation type and job confidence, and major satisfaction was found to have a mediating effect on the relationship between competency-enhancing type, interest-seeking type and job confidence. As a result of the above, various field education curriculums should be developed and used as part of the class through various competition participation activities and experiences at the bakery and cooking department level to increase major satisfaction and job confidence.
