In recent years, with the influx of Chinese capital into the pension industry, the pension industry has been developing rapidly and showing a rocket-like development status in various cities in China, but there is still a lack of research on non-standard pensions, so a deeper and more in-depth study of pensions is needed for the future development of the huge Chinese pension industry. This study focuses on the pre-70, 70-84, 85-94, and post-95 generations of pensioners in Qingdao, China, using the IPA method to analyze the differences in the attributes of each generation's choice of pension. The results of the analysis are as follows: First, the items that require continuous management are "local cultural experience", "room environment", "bed", "room hygiene", and "air conditioning and hot water". It can be seen that Qingdao Pension has maintained a relatively good level of room comfort and sanitary cleanliness. Second, the areas that need improvement are "transportation", "room yard", "distance to nearby attractions", "reputation on the Internet", and "location is environment". Therefore, efforts should be made to improve the comfort, convenience and satisfaction of pension users to increase their intention to return and enhance the market competitiveness and attractiveness of Qingdao pensions
