The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between international students' motivation to select a tourism major, major satisfaction, adaptation to school life, and loyalty. This is because it can lead to strengthening the competitiveness of local universities through the influx of domestic international students. For this purpose, questionnaires were collected online and offline from May to July 2023 for international students at private universities in Jeollabuk-do and their relationships were analyzed. First, as the financial management of universities is worsening due to the current Korean university students dropping out, attracting international students is proposed as a management plan, and as a way to reduce the dropout rate, improve motivation for choosing a major, satisfaction with major, adaptation to university life, and loyalty. A study was conducted for this purpose. Second, while most of the existing studies on international students studied ways to attract international students by providing educational services such as Korean language education and educational service quality, this study studied major satisfaction, adaptation to college life, and loyalty related to the motivation for choosing a major from the beginning of studying abroad. proceeded. Fifth, although the study was conducted on international students in the Department of Tourism, it is expected to gradually expand the scope to other departments and suggest various ways to increase the intention to study abroad in Korea.
