본 연구는 학급에서 공격적인 행동문제로 의뢰되어 상담에서도 공격성을 표출하는 아동과 초등학교 전문상담사가 상담관계에서 어떠한 경험을 하는지를 심층적으로 살펴보기 위해 실시되었다. 이를 위해 초등학교상담사로 4년 이상 근무한 석사 이상의 전문상담사를 대상으로 그들의 심리사회적 경험을 심층적으로 탐구하였다. 수집된 자료는 Colaizzi의 현상학적 연구방법으로 분석하였으며 최종적으로 142개의 구성의미, 40개의 주제, 14개의 주제군이 도출되었다. 연구를 통해 도출된 14개의 주제군은 첫 번째 전문상담사의 심리적 경험으로 소통의 답답함, 긴장과 두려움, 거절감과 갈등, 통제의 어려움, 상담사로서 능력에 대한 좌절, 초등학교 상담의 한계로 나타났으며, 두 번째 실제적인 접근 방법으로 안전한 관계 맺기, 기다림으로 동행, 눈높이 상호작용, 적극적 수용, 건강한 분노표출 도모, 아동의 환경 전반에 대한 개입으로 드러났으며, 세 번째 상담관계 경험의 의미로 전문가로서의 성장, 상담관계를 통한 자기성장으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 초등학교 전문상담사와 공격성 문제를 가진 아동과의 상담관계 경험의 의미를 제도적 차원의 시사점과 함께 논의하였으며 본 연구의 의의와 후속연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.
This study aimed to examine in-depth what experiences elementary school counselors have in counseling relationships children who are referred for aggressive behavior problems in class and express aggression during counseling. For this purpose, psychosocial experiences were explored in depth for elementary counselors with a Master's degree or higher who had professional experiences as elementary school counselors more than four years. The collected data were analyzed based on Colaizzi's phenomenological method, 14 subject groups, 40 subjects, and 142 elements were finally derived. First, counselors had psychological experiences such as frustration in communication, discouragement of their capacity as a counselor, tension and fear, rejection and conflict, difficulty in control and limitations of elementary school counseling. Second, The practical methods they used are as follows; building a safe relationship, interaction at the children's level, active acceptance, anger management, accompanying by waiting and intervening in the children’s overall environment. Third, in the meaning of the counseling relationship experience, counselors experienced growth as experts and self-growth through counseling relationships with aggressive children. Based on the findings, the counseling relationship experience of elementary counselors and children with agression problems was discussed along with institutional implications, and the significance of the study, and suggestions for future studies were discussed.
