본 연구의 목적은 대인관계 향상 집단상담을 메타버스 플랫폼을 활용하여 운영하고 그 효과를 분석함으로써 메타버스 집단상담 운영에의 시사점을 도출하기 위한 것이다. 연구 대상은 지방 소재 대학의 학생상담센터에서 운영한 메타버스 플랫폼 집단상담 참여자이며, 집단상담은 총 10회기, 5주에 걸쳐 진행되었다. 집단상담 효과를 검증하기 위하여 혼합연구설계를 적용하였으며, 양적 효과는 비모수 검증으로 분석하고 질적 효과는 집단상담 참여자 활동보고서와 심층면담 인터뷰 자료를 MAXQDA 소프트웨어를 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 메타버스 플랫폼을 활용한 집단상담이 참가자의 대인관계 만족도, 개방성, 신뢰도에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 메타버스 집단상담의 경험은 총 3개의 범주, 13개 하위범주, 26개 개념, 398개의 코드로 나타났으며, 3개 범주에 대해 ‘메타버스 플랫폼 경험’, ‘메타버스와 집단상담 상호작용’, ‘메타버스 집단상담 성과’로 명명하였다. 본 연구는 메타버스 플랫폼을 활용한 대인관계 향상 집단상담의 성과와 과정 경험을 분석하고 메타버스 집단상담의 효과를 극대화하기 위한 상담 실제의 시사점과 한계점을 제공하였다는 데 그 의의가 있다.
This study was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of a Group counseling program at Metaverse, aiming to improve interpersonal relationships among university student. and to suggest practical implications for Metaverse-based group counseling, Study pariticipants were 38 undergraduate students who participated in 10-session group counseling provided on Metaverse at a university counseling center. the research method used a mixed-method approach: quantitative analysis was conducted using non-parametric Wilcoxon test, and qualitative analysis was conducted using MAXQDA software to analyze participation reports and in-depth interviews from the participants. Pre-and post-tests showed significant difference in satisfaction in interpersonal relationships. openness, and trust among the participants. Quantitative analysis revealed that the experience of group counseling in the Metaverse was Grouped into 3 categories, 13 subcategories, 26 concepts, and 398 codes, and the three categories were ‘experience of a Metaverse platform’, ‘interaction between Metaverse and group counseling’, and ‘outcome of group counseling in the Metaverse’. The significance of this study is that it revealed the effectiveness of a group counseling program provided on Metaverse to improve interpersonal relationships among university students as well as the students experience of Metaverse group counseling and that it further, provided implications and considerations for Metaverse-based group counseling.
