초록보기

This study was carried out in order to investigate the reproductive and weaning performances in hongsung pig farms raising the total 300 and over sows. And then, these correlation were estimated by these data from their items as mating, reproductive and weaning performance.

The results obtained from this study were abstracted as follows;

1. The farrowing rate of sow per year averaged 2.38 times. The PSY were 2.82 pigs, and then days of estrus return were 5.72 days.

2. The average of litter size were 11.33 heads, total pigs born alive were 10.28 heads, and then conception rate was 84.33 percent.

3. The number of weaning and age at weaning averaged 9.55 pigs and 24.17 days, and then growing rate of piglets was 93.08 percent.

4. The total litter was positively correlated with the pigs born alive(r=579), and the number of weaning(r=0.577). The correlation of PSY and the farrowing rate per year was 0.769 (p<0.01). Age at weaning was negatively correlated with PSY (r=-0.491).
