이 연구에서는 교원능력개발평가제가 그 평가결과를 활용한 맞춤형연수를 통해 제도의 성과를 달성하고 있는지를 진단할 목적으로, 교원능력개발평가 결과를 활용한 연수의 성과를 실증적으로 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 실제 교원능력개발평가 결과를 활용한 ‘맞춤형연수’의 실태 자료를 활용하여, ‘능력향상연수’ 대상자의 연도별 변화에 대한 추이 분석과 ‘재심의’ 비율 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 연도별 ‘능력향상연수’ 심의 대상자 및 지명자 수의 감소 추이를 확인하고, ‘능력향상연수’ 대상자의 연수 참여 이후 재심의 대상 선정 비율이 감소하는 결과를 확인함으로써, 교원능력개발평가 실시 및 ‘능력향상연수’의 시행을 계기로 기존에 교원능력개발평가에서 낮은 성과를 보였던 교사들이 교원 전문성 신장을 위한 노력을 기울여 결과적으로 교사들의 전문성 제고 성과로 이어진 것으로 추정할 수 있었다
