본 논문에서는 불가리아의 유럽 통합 과정에서 증가하는 유럽 회의주의와 그로 인한 현상을 분석한다. 2007년 EU 가입 이후 불가리아는 정치적, 경제적 변화와 함께 다양한 사회적 도전에 직면했으며, 최근 연구에 따르면 경제적 불안, 정치적 부패, 사회적 불안정성 등이 복합적으로 작용해 유럽 회의주의가 급격히 증가하고 있다. 이는 급진적 우익 정당의 성장과 반이민 정서로 나타나며, 특히 EU의 이민 정책과 대러시아 제재는 불가리아 내에서 큰 논란을 일으키고 있다. 유로존 가입 문제와 EU 자금 사용의 투명성 부족도 경제적 불안을 가중시키고 있다. 불가리아는 반부패 운동, 정치 개혁, 시민 사회의 활동 강화 등을 통해 이 문제를 해결하고자 하며, 본 논문은 이와 같은 대응 전략을 통해 불가리아가 안정적이고 민주적인 국가로 발전할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다.

This paper analyzes the rising Euroscepticism in Bulgaria and the resulting phenomena during the country’s European integration process. Since joining the EU in 2007, Bulgaria has faced various social challenges alongside political and economic changes. Recent studies indicate that factors such as economic uncertainty, political corruption, and social instability have collectively fueled a sharp increase in Euroscepticism. This trend is reflected in the growth of radical right-wing parties and anti-immigration sentiment. Additionally, EU immigration policies and sanctions against Russia have sparked significant controversy within Bulgaria. The issue of Eurozone membership and the lack of transparency in the use of EU funds have also exacerbated economic concerns. In response, Bulgaria aims to address these challenges through anti-corruption efforts, political reforms, and the strengthening of civil society. This paper proposes strategies to help Bulgaria overcome the negative impacts of European integration and develop into a stable and democratic state.
