초록보기

본 연구의 목적은 대학생들의 가장 큰 스트레스원으로 지적되고 있는 학업 및 진로 스트레스와 자기효능감 및 대학생활적응 간에 어떠한 관계가 있는지 알아보고, 자기효능감이 스트레스와 대학생활적응의 관계에서 매개효과를 갖는지를 검증하는 것이다. 본 연구를 수행하기 위해 서울시, 경기도, 충청북도 3개 대학교에 재학 중인 대학생 230명(남학생 112, 여학생 118명)을 대상으로, 인구통계학적 질문지, 학업 및 진로 스트레스, 자기효능감, 대학생활적응에 관한 조사를 실시하고 수집된 자료는 SPSS 12.0과 AMOS 4.0 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 학업 및 진로 스트레스 수준이 낮은 집단과 자기효능감이 높은 집단의 대학생활적응의 평균이 유의하게 높았으며, 학업 및 진로 스트레스와 대학생활적응 간에 자기효능감의 부분매개 효과가 나타났다(β=.20, β=.13). 이는 학업 및 진로 스트레스가 대학생활적응에 직접적인 영향을 주고 있을 뿐 아니라 자기효능감을 통해 대학생활적응에 간접적인 영향을 주고 있음을 의미한다고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구 결과는 자기효능감이 스트레스 완충요인임을 확인한 결과이며, 자기효능감의 차원에서 스트레스와 대학생활적응을 중재할 수 있는 가능성을 시사하고 있다.
