 This work explores the optimum conditions for the removal of the Reactive Dyestuffs, Remazol Brilliant Blue R and Remazol Red B in waste waters by the use of Ozone.

The results are as follows;

1) The ozonation of both Remazol Brill. Blue R and Remazol Red B is oxidized more easily in alkaline media than in acid media.

2) The reaction rate of Remazol Red B was influenced outstandingly on ㏗, especially increases greatly above ㏗ 7 while the case of Remazol Brill. Blue R has a little effect.

3) The reaction was pseudo first order in the excess Ozone, and then activation energy of Remazol Red B and Remazol Brill. Blue R were 2.04 ㎉ and 1.82 ㎉ respectively.

4) The decrease of ㏗ of the solution after the completion of reaction caused by the decomposition of both dyestuffs.
