 본 연구의 목적은 국내 사회인야구 참가자의 여가경험, 여가유능감, 여가몰입과 여가만족 및 심리적 행복감의 구조적 관계를 실증적으로 규명하고 사회인야구 참가자의 심리적 행복감을 높이기 위한 다양한 심리적 변수들을 파악하여 동호인들의 삶의 질적 수준의 향상과 사회인야구의 저변확대 및 지속적인 참여를 유인하기 위한 기초적 자료를 제공할 수 있다는데 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 2012년 서울·경기 지역을 중심으로 실제 오프라인 사회인야구 리그에 직접적으로 참여하는 동호인을 모집단으로 설정한 후 비 확률표집방법(non-probability sampling method) 중 하나인 편의표본추출법(convenience sampling)을 사용하여 총 400부의 설문지를 배부하여 총 382부의 설문지를 회수하였으며, 회수된 설문지 중 무응답 자료와 불성실하게 응답했다고 판단되는 13부의 자료를 제외한 369명의 자료가 실제 분석에 사용되었다.

본 연구의 자료처리는 Windows용 SPSS 17.0 Version을 활용하여 탐색적 요인분석(exploratory factor analysis)을 실시하여 구성타당도 검증을 하였으며, 각 요인 간 신뢰도를 검증하기 위하여 Cronbach's α 계수를 활용한 신뢰도 분석(reliability analysis)을 실시하였다. 또한 연구 대상자들의 인구통계학적 특성을 알아보기 위해 빈도분석(frequency analysis)을 실시하였으며, 다중공선성(multicolinearity) 여부를 살펴보기 위해 상관관계 분석(correlation analyze)을 실시하였다. 다음으로는 AMOS 7.0 통계패키지 프로그램을 활용하여 확인적 요인분석(confirmatory factor analysis)을 실시하여 수렴타당도 검증을 하였으며, 마지막으로 본 연구모형의 모형 적합도를 검증하고 다음으로 앞서 제시한 연구 가설 검증을 위해 구조방정식 모형을 통한 경로분석(path analysis)을 실시하여 수립된 가설의 채택과 기각 여부를 판단하였다.

이와 같은 연구 절차를 거쳐 얻어진 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다.

첫째, 사회인야구 참가자의 인구통계학적 변인에 따른 여가경험, 여가유능감, 여가몰입과 여가만족 및 심리적행복감에는 부분적으로 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

둘째, 사회인야구 참가자의 여가경험은 여가유능감에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

셋째, 사회인야구 참가자의 여가몰입은 여가만족에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

넷째, 사회인야구 참가자의 여가경험은 여가만족에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

다섯째, 사회인야구 참가자의 여가유능감은 여가만족에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

여섯째, 사회인야구 참가자의 여가몰입은 여가만족에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

일곱째, 사회인야구 참가자의 여가유능감은 심리적 행복감에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

여덟째, 사회인야구 참가자의 여가몰입은 심리적 행복감에 영향을 미치자 않는 것으로 나타났다.

아홉째, 사회인야구 참가자의 여가만족은 심리적 행복감에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
