초록보기

The present era is moving in high velocity towards IT and thus the digital and cyber culture has crept in the lives of the adolescence. As a result the adolescence have been plunged into the risky behavior of cyber bullying. Parental monitoring is considered to be the most protective and effective factor in reducing adolescence risky behavior in this cyber world. The current study investigates the relationship between the parental monitoring and the cyber bullying in the adolescence according to the level of age group; thirteen, fourteen, and fifteen years old and optimistically leading them to the cyber world in promoting life and light in the fast moving, high-fi digital world.

Data were generated from four Schools, among 500 students in Duliajan, Dibrugarh District, Assam, and North East of India. The descriptive statistical method was employed to analysis the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variables. T-test and ANOVA was adapted to compare the means of independent variables. The correlation and regression analysis were implemented discover the relationship between the parental monitoring and their cyber bullying.

The findings, high lights that there is significant relationship, between the parental monitoring and the cyber bulling in adolescence. The suggestion is made that in all three age group there is certain amount of risks in the adolescences, but it is responsibility of the parents to identify all the hazards of adolescence and monitor them to the right path. The further research must be implemented to ensure the future understanding of literate cyber parents who can guide adolescencts and limiting the age group up to college studies, with the extension of area, and leading the adolescence to the right and mature cyber world and thus prevent them in getting addicted to this contagious sickness of cyber bulling, which is the current giant cyber problems.
