의료 기술 및 바이오 공학 등의 발전에 따라 건강에 관한 개인의 관심과 다양한 수요가 증가하고 있다. 특히 무선 통신 기술이 발달하면서, 헬스 모니터링용 웨어러블 기기가 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 이러한 웨어러블 기기는 이용자 편의성을 고려하여 유연성 및 생체 적합성과 높은 민감도를 가져야 한다. 이를 위해 각종 소자의 소형화가 요구되고, 그에 따른 배터리의 구조적 한계로 에너지 하베스팅 기술이 주목받고 있다. 유무기 압전 복합체는 전기적 안정성과 높은 유전 특성으로 인해 반영구적 센서나 자가발전 소자로 활발히 연구되고 있다.
압전성은 결정학적 점군 중 비대칭 구조를 가지는 유전체의 특성으로, 기계적 변형으로 인해 전기장이 형성되는 직압전 효과와 그 반대의 경우인 역압전 효과를 포함한다. 유무기 압전 복합체는 시스템을 이루는 압전 입자와 matrix 폴리머의 연결성에 따라 이론적인 모델링 구조가 달라진다. 또한 입자의 응집 현상과 계면에서의 불연속성으로 인해 계면 결함이 발생한다. 이때 표면 처리 했을 때 입자 크기에 따라 달라지는 계면 특성에 관한 연구가 체계적으로 이루어지지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 BTO 나노 입자를 도파민으로 표면 처리 후 PVDF-TrFE에 분산하여 0-3 연결성을 가지는 2성분계 압전 복합체를 제작하고 체계적으로 분석하였다.
도파민 표면 처리한 BTO 입자에 대한 형상학적 특성, 질량비에 대한 정성적 특성, 결정학적 특성을 분석하여 도파민 코팅층이 형성됨을 확인하고, 이를 적용한 BTO@PDA/PVDF-TrFE 복합체에 대한 형상학적 특성, 결정학적 특성, 유전 특성, 강유전 특성, 압전 특성에 대해 분석하여 표면 처리로 인한 영향에 대해 분석하였다. 형상학적 특성은 FE-SEM을 통해 단면 형상에 대해 분석하였다. 결정학적 특성 분석은 FT-IR을 통해 PVDF-TrFE의 β상 비율에 대해 분석하였다. 마지막으로 전기적 측정과 압전 특성 분석을 위한 기계적 측정을 통해 복합체의 유전, 강유전, 압전 특성을 분석하였다. 입자 크기에 따른 분극 형성 및 압전 출력 신호가 표면 처리에 따라 다르게 나타나는 것을 확인하였고, 계면 결함으로 인한 영향과 교차 검증하였다. 100 nm BTO@PDA일 때 가장 강한 압전 신호가 나타났는데, 표면 처리하지 않은 경우보다 신호 세기가 약 4.25배 상승하였다.*표시는 필수 입력사항입니다.
