 농업 부문이 전반적인 국가 경제 발전에 크게 기여함에도 불구하고, 국가 발전에 대한 농업의 기여를 제한하는 어려움에 처해 있다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 주요 국가는 자국의 지속 가능한 농업 발전을 강화하기 위한 다양한 정책을 도입하였다. 농업 관련 정책은 농업 부문을 더 나은 방향으로 발전시키는데 도움이 되는 지침을 제공하기 때문에 효과적인 정책은 농업 부문 발전에 매우 중요하다. 이에 맞춰 본 연구에서는 AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) 방법을 활용하여 가나의 지속가능한 농업정책 개발에 있어 우선시되어야 할 전략적 정책 항목을 파악하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 정부 공무원 5 명, 연구원 5 명, 업계 관계자 5 명 등 총 15 명의 응답자를 선정하고, 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 업계 관계자와 연구원 모두 가나의 지속 가능한 농업 정책을 개발할 때 우선순위를 두어야 하는 정책 요소로 정밀 농업에 높은 우선순위를 부여했으며, 정부 관계자의 경우 지속가능한 농업정책을 개발하는데 우선순위를 두어야 하는 정책요소로서 농업발전에 대한 우선순위가 높다.
