탄소중립 시대의 도래로 다수의 국내 미술관이 ESG 경영 흐름에 부응하기 위한 다양한 환경 교육 프로그램을 도입하고 있다. 국공립 및 사립 미술관들은 친환경 행사인 에코-오픈마켓을 개최하고, 작품과 연계된 환경 교육 프로그램을 진행하며, 지속가능한 매뉴얼을 발행하는 등 미술관의 지속 가능성과 환경·사회·지배구조(ESG) 경영의 중요성을 강조하고 있다. 반면에 이전의 연구들은 대부분 일회성 프로그램에 그쳤거나 그 효과에 대한 심도 있는 논의가 진행되지 않았다.
본 연구는 국내의 ESG 경영 흐름에 따른 환경 교육 프로그램 사례들을 철저히 분석하고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 분석 평가 도구를 개발하였다. 미술과 지속 가능성을 결합한 통합 미술 교육 프레임워크를 제시하며, 다양한 국내외 사례 연구를 통해 미술관의 환경 교육 역할을 제시하고, 지속 가능성 원칙의 연결성을 탐구하는 것이 본 연구의 목표다.
국내외 사례를 비교 분석한 결과, 실효성 있는 환경 교육 프로그램은 국내 미술관의 ESG 경영을 위한 필수 요소이다. 또한 연구의 범위는 국내 미술관의 환경 교육 프로그램의 포괄적인 검토와 해당 프로그램의 디자인, 효과 및 영향을 포함하고 있다.
이는 차후의 한국형 미술관의 ESG 경영 전략 수립과 환경 교육 프로그램 개발에 중요한 지표가 될 것이다. 이를 통해 미술관에서는 선진화된 교육을 제공하고, 지속가능한 ESG 경영을 실천할 수 있도록 더 심층적인 토론에 기여하고자 한다.*표시는 필수 입력사항입니다.
