로봇이 인간과 독립적으로 작동해야 했던 과거에서부터 로봇이 인류와 함께 작업을 수행해야하는 미래로 나아가면서 로봇과 인간의 공유 작업 공간에서 안전한 접촉을 보장하기 위한 관심과 우려가 커져가고 있다.
이러한 우려를 해소하기 위해서 하중 대 중량 특성이 낮고 탄성이 있는 협력 로봇으로 대표되는 하드웨어 접근 방식이 제안되어 왔다. 그러나 이러한 시도는 로봇의 유연성으로 인한 제어 한계와 복잡성으로 이어졌고 로봇의 실제 구동을 위한 제어기 설계를 방해하는 한계를 낳았다. 이를 해결하기 위해서 제안되고 있는 소프트웨어 접근 방식에는 계적 계획 방법이나 학습 방법을 통한 충돌 회피 및 하이브리드 힘/위치 제어 또는 임피던스 제어로 충돌에 반응하는 방법이 있다.
이러한 방법들은 충돌 단계에 따라 구별 되는데, 충돌 전 단계에서 충돌을 피하는 방법, 충돌 전 단계에서부터 충돌 후 단계의 반응까지를 제어하기 위한 힘/위치 하이브리드 제어, 충돌 당시와 충돌 후의 로봇의 반응을 설계하는 임피던스 제어들이 주로 사용되어 왔다. 우선, 로봇과 사람이 충돌하기 전에 피하는 방법은 완벽하게 안전을 보장할 수 있어 보이지만 충돌 감지의 필요성(한 예로는 로봇과 인간 사이의 충돌을 포착하기 위해 여러 카메라가 필요하다.) 으로 인해 일상 생활에서의 작업 공간과 같이 제어되지 않는 환경에 적용할 수 없다. 따라서 충돌 시의 안전을 감작스럽고 다양한 환경에서 보장하기 위해서는 충돌 당시 반응과 충돌 후 단계에 초점을 맞춘 임피던스 제어가 강조되어야 한다. 임피던스 제어는 로봇을 설계된 임피던스로 제어하기 위해 제안되었는데, 특히 낮은 임피던스 렌더링으로 접촉 지점에서 작은 상호 작용 힘만을 발생시킬 수 있다. 하지만, 외란과 불확실성은 추적 성능과 임피던스 렌더링 성능을 심각하게 저해시킨다. 또한, 기존의 임피던스 반응은, 단 자유도 기반으로 적용되어 왔기 때문에, 접촉이 발생했을 시 설계된 임피던스에 따라 멈출 수 있으나, 수행하던 작업과 동시에 접촉에 대한 반응을 제공할 수 없었다.
따라서, 본 논문은 로봇이 수행하던 작업과 접촉 시 접촉 반응을 동시에 수행하면서, 외란과 불확실 성이 있는 환경에서 정확한 위치 추적과 안전한 접촉을 구현할 수 있는 제어기를 제안한다. 먼저 계층적으로 분리된 외란 관찰자를 사용한 강인한 다중 작업 제어를 이용하여 기존의 외란 관측기를 사용하는 다중 작업 제어가 불가능한 계층 간 왜란을 해결한다. 그 과정에서 다중 작업 시 커플링을 발생시키지 않기 위해 영 공간 분리 특성을 고려하는 외란 관찰자를 설계한다. 또한, 외란 관찰자가 설계된 개념 공간에 상응하는 제어 레퍼런스 설계를 위해 3단계 제어 프레임 워크를 제안한다. 제안되는 제어 프레임워크는 다양한 이론적 분석, 안정성 분석 및 실험들을 통해 성능이 검증된다.
또한, 제안된 강인 다중 작업 제어는 갑작스럽고 예측되지 않은 접촉 상황에서의 안전성을 확보하기 위해 임피던스 제어로 확장된다. 힘 피드백 기반의 유연 동작 제어 레퍼런스를 사용하는 계층적 제어 프레임워크를 통해 접촉 지점에서의 직관적 임피던스를 렌더링을 구현할 수 있다. 마지막으로 여러 실험과 데모를 통해, 자유로운 모션 공간에서 정확한 위치 제어와 접촉 공간에서 정확하고 낮은 임피던스 렌더링을 위해 제안된 전체 제어 프레임워크의 성능을 검증한다.*표시는 필수 입력사항입니다.
