초록보기

The paper is focused on implementing an immersive virtual reality(VR) sports game system using hand tracking technology instead of traditional controllers. Using Unity and the Meta Quest 2 device, the study develops three interactive mini-games - Alkkagi, dart throwing, and basketball - designed to simulate real-world hand and wrist motions in a virtual environment.

The system utilizes the Oculus Hand Tracking API and OVRSkeleton to capture finger tip positions, hand poses, and wrist rotations in real time. Based on these inputs, the game applies physical interactions using Unity’s physics engine, such as pushing objects with finger velocity (Alkkagi), throwing darts with wrist dynamics and pose recognition, and triggering basketball shots based on wrist rotation and grip status.

This implementation demonstrates that hand tracking can be used to replicate realistic and responsive sports actions in VR, enhancing immersion and presence. It suggests new directions for controller-free interaction in gaming, rehabilitation, and training applications.
