본 연구는 물리치료사들의 병원감염관리에 대한 인지도와 수행도를 확인하고 병원감염관리 수행도에 대한 관련요인을 확인하고자 실시되었다. 연구에 참여한 대상자는 부산시 소재 11개 병원 물리치료사로서 185명의 자료를 분석에 사용하였다. 자료수집은 2011년 4월부터 6월까지 2개월에 걸쳐 구조화된 자가보고형 설문지를 이용하였다. 수집된 자료는 일반적인 특성이 인지도와 수행도에 미치는 영향은 Mann-Whitney 검정의 정확검정을, 병원감염관리에 대한 인지도와 수행도 간의 차이는 Wilcoxon 부호순위 검정을 이용하여 단측검정으로 분석하였고 병원 감염관리 수행도에 영향을 미치는 요인규명은 단계적 다중 회귀분석을 이용하였다. 분석결과 대상자들의 병원감염관리에 대한 인지도에 비해 수행도가 낮다는 것을 알 수 있었고, 병원감염관리 수행도에 영향을 주는 요인은 감염관리지침서 유무와 물리치료 전 감염과 관련한 환자사정이었다. 따라서 낮은 수행도를 향상시킬 수 있는 방법에 대한 연구가 추가로 이루어져야 할 것으로 사료된다.
The study aims to identify some relevant factors influencing the nosocomial infection control through looking into physical therapists' being aware of and complying with it. Subjects in the study were 185 physical therapists working for 9 hospitals located in Busan. Data were collected from April 11, 2011 through June 17, 2011, employing a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, Mann-Whitney, Wilcoxon signed rank test and regression analysis. The analysis showed that the participants' level of awareness on the nosocomial infection control was 4.48; that of compliance was 3.84. It meant that concerning the nosocomial infection control, the participants' level of compliance was lower than that of awareness. Also, it turned out that significant factors affecting the level of compliance with the nosocomial infection control were ‘whether nosocomial infection control guideline is or not’ and ‘assessing patients with infection in advance of physical therapy’. In consequence, it requires some additional researches on how to improve the physical therapists' lower level of compliance.
