초록보기

성취결과에 대한 개인적 가치 인식인 ‘성공관’은 사회문화적 영향 속에서 형성되며, 개인의 미래 행동은 물론 타인에게도 영향을 미치는 신념의 한 부분이다. 학생에게 의미 있는 타인으로서 교사가 갖는 성공관은 미래인재의 성공관 형성과 이에 따른 행동적, 심리적 변화에 영향을 주게 된다. 하지만 지금까지의 연구들은 학생 개인의 심리요인에 집중하거나, 특정 사회가 공유하는 성공관의 특성을 파악하는 데 머물렀다. 이에 본 연구는 교사들이 가지고 있는 성공관의 특성을 밝히고, 교사의 성공관과 교사효능감 간의 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 수도권의 초, 중등학교 교사 91명을 대상으로 성공관과 관련한 설문을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 교사들이 가지고 있는 성공관은 대체로 긍정적인 ‘삶지향 성공관’을 추구하는 가운데, ‘삶지향-성취지향’ 성공관을 균형적으로 추구하는 경향을 나타냈다. 교사의 성공관에 대한 군집분석 결과, 교사들이 가지고 있는 성공관은 ‘삶-성취 균형형’, ‘삶 우선 지향형’, ‘삶-성취 저수준형’의 3개 군집으로 유형화되었다. 또한 교사는 사회적 성공과 학업적 성공을 서로 다른 개념으로 인식하고 있었으며, 성공에 대해 긍정적 인식을 갖고 ‘삶지향 성공관’과 ‘성취지향 성공관’을 균형적으로 높게 추구할수록 성공관과 관련된 교사효능감이 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 긍정적이고 균형적인 교사의 성공관은 삶의 질적 성장을 지향하는 가치관 형성의 중요한 요인으로서 ‘삶-성취 성공관’을 조화롭게 지향하는 미래인재를 양성하는 데 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 기대된다.

Perception of success, which is the personal value of achievement, is formed in social-cultural context and affects other people’s as well as one's own future behavior. Even though teacher’s perception of success influences student’s future goal or identity formation, the previous studies have focused only on the students-related variables or characteristics of perception of success defined by society. The purpose of this study was to examine teacher’s perception of success and relationship between teacher’s perception on success and teacher efficacy. A questionnaire on the perception of success was completed by a total of 91 teachers from elementary and secondary schools. The results showed that teachers mostly pursue “life-oriented” perception of success but also want to maintain a balance between “life-achievement oriented” perception of success. Cluster analysis of the results showed that teachers’ perception of success can be divided into three groups: 1) balanced group (high perception of success) 2) life-oriented group 3) balanced group (low perception on success). In addition, teachers believe that social success is different from academic success and teachers who pursue balance between life-oriented and achievement-oriented success have higher teacher efficacy related to perception of success. These results indicate that teacher's positive and balanced perception of success plays an important role in fostering students who value balance of life and achievement.
