This study aimed to analyze the effects of combined exercise on body composition, blood lipid profile, HOMA-IR and HOMA β-cell in obese middle-aged women. A total of 40 female subjects were participated in this study, and they were randomly divided into 2 groups such as control group(n=20) and combined exercise group(n=20). With respect to body composition, combined exercise group indicated the significant reduction effect in weight, body mass index(BMI), body fat and percent body fat values after combined exercise program(p〈.05). Also, this group showed the significant increase in blood HDL-cholesterol level as well as the significant reduction in blood triglyceride(TG) level and blood LDL-cholesterol level after combined exercise program, suggesting the beneficial blood lipid profile(p〈.05). In the case of blood glucose metabolism, the combined exercise group showed the slight reduction in blood insulin level and HOMA-IR as well as the significant reduction in blood glucose level after combined exercise program(p〈.05). There were no significant increase in HOMA β-cell of combined exercise group after combined exercise program.
In conclusion, data from this study suggest that combined exercise program may indicate useful effect on body composition, blood lipid profile and blood glucose metabolism of middle-aged women.| 번호 | 참고문헌 | 국회도서관 소장유무 |
