본 연구는 지역사회 노인인구의 치매예방관리를 효율적으로 시행하도록 치매예방통합프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 규명하기 위해서 시도되었다. 본 연구는 비동등성 대조군 전・후설계를 이용한 유사실험연구이다. 연구에 참여한 연구대상자는 연구목적에 동의한 지역사회에 거주하는 65세 이상의 노인들이며, 실험군 27명, 대조군 29명으로 총 56명이다. 치매예방통합프로그램은 2016년 4월부터 6월까지 8주에 걸쳐 매회 당 60분 내지 1시간 30분, 주당 3회 시행되었다. 자료분석은 IBM SPSS 18.0을 활용하여 Fisher 정확검정, 카이제곱검정, 독립 t-검정, Mann-Whiney U 검정(Mann Whitney U-test) 및 공분산분석(ANCOVA)을 실시하였다. 연구결과 실험군과 대조군의 실험 전・후 비교에서 정서(F=4.951, p=.030)와 정서의 하위요인인 긍정적 정서, ‘밝은’(t=3.843, p<.001)과 부정적 정서, ‘비관적’(F=10.181, p=.002)에는 효과적이었으나, 인지기능(t=0.959, p=.342)과 정서요인의 하위요인 중 부정적 정서, ‘어려운’(F=1.198, p=.279)에는 유의한 효과가 인정되지 않았다. 따라서 치매예방통합프로그램의 효과가 인지기능의 향상과 부정적인 정서 중 ‘어려운’에 까지 나타나기 위해서는 장기적으로 지속되는 것이 요구된다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of dementia integrated preventive program in community elders. This study employed a quasi-experimental pre-and-posttest design with nonequivalent control group. Elderly people who agreed to participated in the study were assigned to an experimental group (n=27), or control group (n=29). The program was conducted 60～90 minutes, 3 times a week for 8 weeks from April to June 2016. For data analysis, Fisher exact test, chi-square test, independent t-test, Mann-Whiney U test and ANCOVA were performed using IBM SPSS 18.0. The program cognitive function was not significant differences (t=0.959 p=.342), but total emotional level (F=4.951, p=.030), its sub-variable; 'bright' (t=3.843, p<.001), and 'pessimistic' (F=10.181, p=.002) except for 'uneasy' (F=1.198, p=.279) were significant between two groups in pretest and posttest. Dementia prevention integrated program are effective at changing emotional levels, but it is necessary to continue for a longer period of time to improve cognitive functioning and negative emotional level 'uneasy'.
