본 연구에서는 한국교육종단연구(Korean Educational Longitudinal Study)2013의 2차~5차 년도 데이터를 사용하여청소년기 학습자의 부모-자녀 상호작용과 진로계획성의 예측 변화를 잠재성장모형(Latent Growth Modeling)을 통하여관찰하고자 하였다. 이와 더불어 부모-자녀 상호작용과 진로계획성의 관계에서 학습자의 자기이해의 매개효과를검증하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모-자녀 상호작용의 초기값과 변화율은 학습자의자기이해 초기값과 변화율을 정적으로 모두 유의하게 예측하였다. 둘째, 자기이해 초기값은 진로계획성의 초기값을정적으로 강하게 예측하였으나 진로계획성 변화율은 부적으로 예측하였고 자기이해 변화율은 진로계획성 변화율은정적으로 예측하였다. 셋째, 부모-자녀 상호작용 초기값은 진로계획성 초기값과 진로계획성 변화율을 정적으로 예측하였다. 마지막으로 부모-자녀 상호작용 변화율은 진로계획성 초기값을 유의하게 예측한 반면 부모-자녀 상호작용 변화율이진로계획성 변화율을 예측하는 경로는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 부모-자녀의 상호작용정도에 따라 청소년기 학습자의 자기이해의 수준이 달라질 수 있으며 부모와의 관계 형성에 따라 자신의 대한 기대수준과미래 진로에 관한 가치 형성이 다양하게 나타날 수 있음을 의미한다. 즉, 부모-자녀 관계가 청소년기 학습자의 진로계획성을직접적으로 예측하기 보다는 부모-자녀 간 상호작용을 통한 자신의 이해 수준이 매개하는 효과가 높을 수 있다는것으로 해석할 수 있다. 이와 관련하여 청소년기 학습자의 발달 시기에 따른 진로계획성의 특성과 환경적 요소가자기이해로 형성되는 과정을 기대-가치 이론에 입각하여 설명하였다.
