본 연구는 청소년의 정신건강을 위해 전인격적인 접근 필요성을 인식하고 인성교육의 일환으로 마음챙김 명상의 가능성을 확인하고자 했다. 마음챙김 명상이 인성 요소와 관련성을 확인하기 위해 마음챙김 명상의 효과에 대한 연구결과들을 조사하고 청소년을 대상으로 마음챙김 명상을 적용한 연구들을 확인했다. 마음챙김 명상 효과는 인성과 관련성이 높은 주의조절효과, 정서조절 효과, 정서반응성 및 인지적 유연성 효과, 대인관계 증진 효과, 공감력 효과, 및 자기연민 효과 기반에서 확인했다. 청소년에 대한 마음챙김 명상 적용의 효과는 학교에 기반을 둔 연구와 일반 청소년들을 대상으로 한 연구를 구분하여 확인했다. 결론적으로 마음챙김 명상의 효과는 인성의 요소와 밀접한 관련성이 있음을 확인했고 마음챙김 명상이 인성교육을 위한 방법으로 그 가능성을 제안하였다. 논의에서는 마음챙김의 특징과 인성 요소와의 관계를 설명하고 인성교육의 방법으로 마음챙김 명상을 적용하는데 현실적인 한계를 제시하고 적용 방안을 제안했다.

This study attempted to confirm the possibility of mindfulness meditation as a part of personality education by the necessity of a holistic approach to adolescent mental health. In order to confirm the relevance of mindfulness meditation to the personality factor, confirmed research results on the effectiveness of mindfulness meditation and studies that applied mindfulness meditation to adolescents. The effect of mindfulness meditation was confirmed on the basis of attention control effect, emotion control effect, emotional responsiveness and cognitive flexibility effect, interpersonal relationship promotion effect, empathy effect, and self-compassion effect, which are highly related to personality. The effect of applying mindfulness meditation to adolescents was confirmed by dividing the results of a school-based study and a study without school-based. In conclusion, it was confirmed that the effect of mindfulness meditation is closely related to the element of personality, and the possibility of mindfulness meditation as a method for personality education was confirmed. In the discussion, the relationship between the characteristics of mindfulness and personality elements was explained, and practical limitations and suggestions were made for applying mindfulness meditation as a method of personality education.
