초록보기

대학 인문학교육은 환상과 현실이 혼합된 가상사회의 도래와 더불어 위기에 빠져 있다. 이른바 아마존 물류혁명, 암호화폐, 사회적 VR의 등장은 전통적인 실재 모델을 바꾸어 놓고 있다. 가상사회의 기반인 네트워크 미디어 환경에서 ‘사실상의 표준’(de facto standard)이 된 페이크뉴스는 진실을 말하고, 가르치는 자의 사회적 책임을 생각하게 한다. 지난 세기말 데리다는 인간 고유의 것을 성찰하는 인문학교육에 대한 옹호를 통해 미래 인문학의 방향을 제시한바 있다. 미래 인문학은 인간의 법과 권리에 관련된 인권, 문학의 역사, 교수직의 역사 등 인간성에 관한 주제들을 이념삼아 간 학문적이고 실천적인 성격을 강화해 나가야 한다. 여기에는 순수 이론에 대한 탐구와 사회 참여를 동시에 실천하는 인문학 교수의 독특한 역할에 대한 성찰도 들어있다. 본 연구에서는 시민교육 수업에서 다룬 차별의 법적‧도덕적 기준, 생명윤리학적 쟁점 등을 통해 데리다가 옹호한 미래 인문학교육의 가치를 검토하였다.
