본 연구는 미시적 관점으로 현대 한국어에서 나타난 인칭대명사의 특징, 텍스트 분포 및 특성이 무엇인지를 고찰하는 목적에서 시작되었다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 10개 범주의 텍스트 유형을 각각 구어와 문어로 분류하여 구축한 새연세말뭉치(4)를 연구 자료로 선정하였다. 그 결과, 인칭대명사는 주로 구어에 집중되었으며 구어와 문어의 분포는 모두 1인칭, 3인칭, 2인칭 순으로 나타났다. 인칭 유형에 따른 구어와 문어의 양상과 어휘 분포를 살펴보니 서로 다른 결과가 보였다. 텍스트 유형별로 장르 분포를 살펴보니 전체 장르에서 가장 많이 분포된 것은 사적대화이고 가장 적게 분포된 것이 신문 장르였다. 또한 추출된 인칭대명사의 분포를 보면 구어에서 공적독백, 문어에서는 준구어 장르에 골고루 사용되었다. 선행연구와 비교한 결과, 분포 양상이 비슷하여 한국어 인칭대명사의 일반적 특징을 보아낼 수 있었다.
