본 연구의 목적은 자립준비청년의 우울감과 사회적 지지가 자립수준에 미치는 영향을 탐색하며, 사회적 지지가 보호요인으로서 조절효과를 갖는지 규명하는 것이다. 또한 이러한 조절효과가 양육시설과 공동생활가정과 같은 시설에서 대상과 위탁가정에서 자란 대상간에 차이가 있는지를 알아보는 것이다. 조사대상은 아동양육시설과 공동생활가정, 위탁가정에서 성장하여 보호종료된 자립준비청년 194명이며, 온라인 설문조사를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 분석을 위해 기술분석, 빈도분석, 상관관계분석, 위계적 회귀분석을 활용하였다. 분석결과, 자립준비청년의 우울감은 자립수준에 부적 영향을 미쳐 우울감 수준이 높을수록 자립수준은 낮아졌다. 사회적 지지는 자립수준에 정적 영향을 미쳐 사회적 지지를 높게 지각할수록 자립수준이 높아졌다. 사회적 지지의 조절효과는 유의하여 우울감이 자립수준에 미치는 영향을 완충하였다. 사회적 지지의 유형을 시설선생님, 친구, 의미있는 주변사람으로 나누어 분석한 결과 시설에서 성장한 자립준비청년에게는 친구의 지지가 유의했으며 위탁가정의 자립준비청년에게는 의미있는 주변사람의 조절효과가 유의하였다. 분석결과에 기반하여 자립준비청년의 자립을 지원하기 위한 실천적 함의를 논의하였다.

This study aimed to investigate how depression and social support impact the independence of young adults preparing for self-sufficiency, specifically focusing on those who grew up in child care centers, shared living arrangements, and foster homes. The subjects of the study were 194 young adults who grew up in child care centers, shared living arrangements, and foster homes and were emancipated from care, and the data were collected through an online survey. Descriptive analysis, frequency analysis, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were used for the analysis. The results of the analysis showed that depression had a negative effect on the level of independence, and the higher the level of depression, the lower the level of independence. Social support had a positive effect on the level of independence, such that the higher the perceived social support, the higher the level of independence. The moderating effect of social support was significant, buffering the effect of depression on independence. When the type of social support was analysed by dividing it into facility teachers, friends, and meaningful others, the support of friends was significant for young people preparing for independence who grew up in foster care, and the moderating effect of meaningful others was significant for young people preparing for independence in foster homes. Based on the results of the analysis, practical implications for supporting the independence of young adults preparing for independence were discussed.
