본 연구의 목적은 예비중등음악교사의 민요 수업 설계에서 나타나는 교수내용지식(PCK)을 분석하여 예비교사의 수업 전문성에 대한 실태를 파악하고 예비 음악교사교육연구의 기초 자료를 제공하는 것이다. 이를 위해 교육대학원에 재학중인 음악교육 전공 예비중등음악교사를 대상으로 민요의 수업 설계를 통해 PCK의 하위 항목인 교육학지식, 교육과정지식, 내용지식을 측정할수 있는 온라인 설문을 실시하였고, 총 80명의 응답 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 수업 설계 응답 자료의 평정은 숙련된 교육 전문가인 현직 음악 교사 3인에게 리커트 5점 척도로 각 문항에 대하여 평정하게 하여 평균을 산출하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 교사 3인의 평정 결과는 신뢰도 .876으로 높게 나타나 전문가 집단의 평정에 대한 평가 신뢰도를 확인하였다. 둘째, 민요 수업 설계에서 나타난 교수내용지식의 평균 점수는 교육과정지식-교육학지식-내용지식 순으로 높은 것으로 나타났으며 교수내용지식 수준의 차이도 통계적으로 유의미하였다.
