리빙랩에 대한 연구가 축적됨에 따라 국내 대학중심으로 수행된 리빙랩 프로그램과 연구에 대한 체계적 정리가 필요한 시점이다. 본 연구에서는 대학과 지역사회가 함께 하는 리빙랩에 대한 현황을 파악하고, 리빙랩 연구가 다수 이루어지고 있는 상황에서 기존에 다양한 맥락과 특성에서 각각 수행된 리빙랩 연구들을 종합적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 개별적으로 이루어지는 연구를 종합하는 연구방법론 중 체계적 고찰방법(Systematic Review)으로 사용하여 대학에서 이루어지는 리빙랩에 대한 연구를 종합하였다. 먼저, 연구대상 논문 24편에 대해 연구분야를 파악한 결과 연구분야는 사회복지, 사회혁신, 대학 인문-교양 교육, 보건의료, 환경 등으로 다양하였다. 본격적인 분석을 통해 살펴본 결과 대학이 지역사회 기관 혹은 지자체와 협업하여 리빙랩을 운영한 사례에 대한 사례분석연구, 리빙랩 프로그램의 효과성 연구, 리빙랩 모형 혹은 프로그램 개발과 운영, 리빙랩 활성화 방안 및 과제제안 등 크게 4분야로 나뉘었다. 연구결과를 토대로 대학교육 혁신 모델 중 하나로 떠오르는 리빙랩을 대학교육에 활용하고 발전시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색하였다.
