입맞춤은 애정과 사랑, 친밀함, 존경의 표현이다. 그런데 가룟 유다는 그 입맞춤을, 그리스도를 배반해 원수에게 팔아 넘기는 기호로 삼았다. 매튜 헨리는 “예수님께서 당하신 것 중 가장 수치스러운 치욕은, 제자에게 사랑의 입맞춤을 받으며 배반당하신 것” 이라고 말한다. 기독교 역사에는 이런 일이 끊이지 않았다. 그리스도의 십자가를 통한하나님의 화해의 복음은 삼위일체 하나님께 대한 감사와 사랑, 순종으로 귀결되어야 마땅함에도, 복음이 힘을 얻을 때마다 어김없이 등장한 배교의 입맞춤은 율법폐기론이었다. 율법폐기론은 도덕법 폐기와 윤리 경시로만 표출되지 않고, 교회사의 각 시대마다다양한 형태로 나타났다. 율법폐기론에는 J. I. 패커가 열거한 “이원론적 율법폐기론”, “성령론적 율법폐기론”, “기독론적 율법폐기론”, “세대주의적 율법폐기론”, “상황주의적 율법폐기론” 외에도, 신학적 절충주의나 포스트모더니즘적 율법폐기론 등 다양한 유형이 포함된다. 이 연구는 기독교의 윤리적 토대를 약화시켜 복음의 순수성에 문제를일으켜온 율법폐기론의 역사와 유형을 고찰하고 바로잡아, 한국교회가 참된 영성과 도덕성, 사회적 지도력을 회복함으로 그리스도께 배교가 아닌 사랑과 존경의 입맞춤을 드리게 하기 위한 것이다.

A kiss is normally an expression of affection, love, intimacy, or respect. However, Judas Iscariot, one of Jesus’s twelve disciples who shared the most intimate relationship with Him, used a kiss as a sign to betray Christ and sell Him to His enemies. Matthew Henry says the most shameful humiliation Jesus had to suffer was being betrayed with a loving kiss from a disciple. This kind of betrayal has happened constantly throughout Christian history. Even though the cross of Christ and the gospel should have resulted in gratitude, love, and obedience to the Triune God, the kiss of apostasy that appeared without fail whenever the gospel gained strength was antinomianism. Not only was antinomianism expressed through the abolition of moral law and disregard for ethics, but it also appeared in various forms in each era of church history. Types of antinomianism include “dualistic antinomianism,” “Spirit-centered antinomianism,” “Christ-centered antinomia nism,” “dispensational antinomianism,” and “situationnist antinomianism” as listed by J. I. Packer, as well as theological eclecticism and postmodern antinomianism. This study seeks ways to restore the true spirituality, morality, social influence, and leadership of scriptural Christianity by examining the history and types of antinomianism that has weakened the ethical foundation of Christianity and responding to its challenge. The purpose of this paper is to enable the Korean church to give Christ a kiss of love and worship, not a kiss of apostasy.
