인공지능에 대한 ‘불안’과 중국 드라마의 서사 전략 : 드라마 <슈퍼주니어 코드>와 <안드로이드>를 중심으로 = ‘Anxiety’ about artificial intelligence and narrative strategies in Chinese dramas : focusing on the Dramas Super Junior Code and Android
This study aims to examine how ‘anxiety’ about artificial intelligence is addressed in contemporary dramas that most reflect the mainstream discourse and the common emotions of the public. The drama Super Junior Code(2016) deals with anxiety about robots with self-awareness, questioning the identity of AI robots created by uploading human minds and the boundaries between humans and machines. However, it concludes with the AI robot being accepted as a member of the ‘family’, thus resolving the conflict. This suggests that human wariness and fear of AI are alleviated in the name of love or family. Yet, the fact that the AI robot in Super Junior Code ultimately ends up being disposed of implies that AI remains an ambiguous and inherently anxiety-inducing entity. In Android(2023), the androids develop emotions, which are considered unique to humans, becoming a significant threat to humanity. However, unlike Western dramas or films where robots with thoughts and emotions rebel against humans, the androids in this drama attack their own kind instead of humans. This indicates that the narrative of AI robots and the future society depicted in the drama, along with the evolving relationships between humans and robots, are subject to national control.
