연구목적: 본 연구는 AI 디지털교과서의 설계 및 정책 방향을 탐색함에 있어 지체장애학생을 지도하는 특수교사의 요구를 알아보는 데 목적이 있다.

연구방법: 지체장애 특수학교에서 근무한 경험이 있는 특수교사 10명을 대상으로 설문조사 및 초점집단면담(FGI)을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 지속적 비교분석법을 통해 분석하였다.

연구결과: AI 디지털교과서에 대한 긍정적 전망, AI 디지털교과서에 대한 현실적 우려, 교사의 적극적 활용을가능하게 하는 방안, 학습자 중심의 맞춤형 설계에 대한 요구, AI 디지털교과서의 안착을 위한 정책적 지원 요구에 대한 5개의 대주제와 17개의 하위주제가 도출되었다.

결론 및 논의: 연구결과를 바탕으로 AI 디지털교과서의 설계 및 정책 방향에 대해 다음과 같이 논의하고 제언하였다: 1) 지체장애학생의 물리적 접근성 확보, 2) 데이터 수집 및 활용에 대한 법적 기반 마련, 3) 학교 차원의 디지털성숙도 향상.

Purpose: This study aimed to explore the design and policy directions of Artificial Intelligence(AI) digital textbooks by investigating the needs of special education teachers who are teaching students with physical disabilities.

Method: A survey and focus group interviews (FGI) were conducted with 10 special education teachers who have experience working in special schools for students with physical disabilities. The collected data were analyzed using a continuous comparative analysis method.

Results: Five major themes were derived: 1) positive outlook on AI digital textbooks, 2) practical concerns about AI digital textbooks, 3) strategies to foster educators’ active use, 4) demands for learner-centered personalized design, 5) needs for policy support to ensure the successful implementation of AI digital textbooks.

Conclusion: Based on the findings, the following recommendations and discussions were made regarding the design and policy direction of AI digital textbooks: 1) ensuring physical accessibility for students with physical disabilities, 2) establishing a legal basis for the collection and use of data, 3) improving the digital maturity of schools.
